Tailored Expertise

Customised solutions are key to meeting individual budgets and requirements. An expert at turning ideas into reality, Betsy is adept at finding creative and practical ways to answer individual briefs. While she is proficient at working independently, many projects involve collaborating closely with clients to support them and help them articulate their unique vision.

Betsy can also provide training and mentoring for individuals who wish to undertake projects themselves but require guidance along the way.

Responsive Solutions

Betsy’s creative proposals respond to and work intuitively with architecture and light and she believes there is always a way to elevate a challenging space. With a fine art background, she also has wealth of experience using colour and is passionate about how it can alter spatial perceptions as well as its ability to lift spirits and improve wellbeing.

Detailed Planning

Success lies in detail including fabrication, finishes and multisensory touches, all of which help to create an engaging environment. In addition, meticulous planning is essential to ensure seamless installations within pressurised timeframes. Betsy is accomplished at managing all of these aspects of production for sets, events, window displays, photoshoots and more.

Practical Skills

Having worked in window display, home renovations, set building and shop fitting, Betsy is a hands-on designer with the practical skills and industry contacts to ensure all stages of a project from concept, design and manufacture through to installation and launch are executed to the highest standard and within budget.

Sustainable Design

Dedicated to waste reduction, Betsy often repurposes, restores and modifies fixtures, fittings, textiles and furniture and incorporates vintage items into her work. Prioritising the use of paints and materials that have minimal environmental impact and that are devoid of harmful toxins, she is able to offer clients responsible options that align with both their aesthetic preferences and ecological values.

Considered Curation

Betsy believes that less is more and this considered approach allows a meaningful dialogue to develop between selected design pieces and their surrounding environment. She often introduces unexpected elements to create a sense of playfulness or intrigue.
